Privacy policy for meditation course registrations
What we collect through the course registration form, why, how long we keep it, and how to ask for a copy or its deletion. Sky Lantern Festival bookings are covered by a separate privacy policy.
In effect from 25 August 2026: 2026-08-25
1. What we collect
Only what you type into the registration form. We collect nothing about you by any other means.

2. What we use it for
- Accepting your registration and sending your confirmation email
- Telling you what to expect, and telling you if anything changes
- Managing the number of places and welcoming you on the day
- Improving future courses, counted in a way that identifies nobody
Nothing else. We do not advertise to you, and we do not sell or pass your details to anyone.
3. Who can see it
Only the monks and the temple's own staff. No outside party is given access to registrations.
We do rely on these services to run the website and send email. Each handles the data only as instructed by us.
- Neon (USA)
- Stores the registrations
- Vercel (USA)
- Serves the website
- Resend (USA)
- Sends the confirmation email
- Google (USA)
- Signs staff in to the admin panel. No registrant's details are shared with Google.
4. How long we keep it
Five years from the date of your course, after which it is deleted or altered so that it no longer identifies anyone — unless the law requires us to keep it for longer.
5. Photographs taken during the course
Photographs taken during a course may be published on our website and on social media.
If you chose "I do not agree" on the registration form, your photograph is not published. If you change your mind later — in either direction — write to [email protected] and we will act on it, including taking down anything already published.
6. Asking for a copy, a correction, or deletion
Write to [email protected]. Once we have confirmed it is you asking, we will act on it promptly.
