Sky Lantern Festival 2024 — Event Report

Our first Sky Lantern Festival, beautifully held

On Sunday, October 13, 2024, Sabai Mind NPO held its first Sky Lantern Festival at Thai Meisou no Mori in Nasukarasuyama, Tochigi.

The sight of participants lighting their lanterns and releasing them one by one into the night sky was truly a moment of prayer.

Highlights

• Thai food stalls (17:00 — 18:00)
• Dhamma talks and blessings by Thai monks
• Lighting and releasing sky lanterns together

With the kind cooperation of the Japan Sky Lantern Association®, the event was held safely and joyfully. Our deepest thanks to everyone who came and to our volunteers.
